This special edition proof set combines the Royal Canadian Mint’s highest collector quality, exceptional selective colour, low mintage and an exclusive one ounce fine silver Maple Leaf medallion to create a unique and highly collectible complete set of Canada’s most significant 2019 coin denominations. While each year the Royal Canadian Mint issues a fine silver proof set with a mintage of 20,000, this captivating Special Edition coloured fine silver proof set has a mintage of just 7,000, making it one of the lowest mintage proof sets ever issued. When a similar set was first issued in 2018, it sold out almost immediately and is now extremely difficult to find in the secondary market.

All the denominations from the five cents to the $2 coin are presented with designs in full colour, set against a brilliant silver or gold plated background. At the top center of the collection, a unique one ounce fine silver collector medallion is included featuring the Royal Canadian Mint’s classic maple leaf design that has been used for Canada’s iconic maple leaf bullion coins. All seven pieces are struck in 99.99% fine silver. Denominations and designs include the 5 cent (beaver), 10 cent (bluenose schooner), 25 cent (caribou), 50 cent (coat of arms), Loon Style dollar (loon), 2 dollar (polar bear) coins, and silver medallion (Maple Leaf) GST/HST exempt.

About Medallion Design
The medallion features the iconic Maple Leaf design found on Canadian silver, gold, platinum and palladium Maple Leaf bullion coins. The original maple leaf design was created by Walter Ott, a Royal Canadian Mint engraver.
